Sky News host Peta Credlin says she’s been “dismayed” at the way Victorian Liberal leader John Pesutto has responded to Upper House MP Moira Deeming.
Ms Credlin pointed to how Mr Pesutto has linked Ms Deeming with neo-Nazis and expelled her from the Liberal Parliamentary Party Room just because a women s rights rally she helped organise was gatecrashed by extremists.
“And over the weekend, finally there was a face-to-face meeting between John Pesutto and his expelled backbencher,” Ms Credlin said.
“But the meeting broke down, I gather, because Pesutto still won t have her back in the party room, even though he admits that she s not a neo-Nazi, and even though that was the original reason for expelling her.
“It s ridiculous, isn t it? But that s where he s at. Behind in the polls and still unable to fully admit he got it wrong and to make amends.”
