Cargo ship hijacking has ‘Iranian fingerprints’ all over it

Retired US Army Major Mike Lyons warns the hijacking of a cargo ship in the Red Sea has “Iranian fingerprints all over it” as Houthi rebels threaten crew members at gunpoint. The Houthi movement, backed by Iran and based in Yemen, recently showed the video of the attack on their TV channel Al Masirah and it has since been circulated online. Rebels can be seen jumping out of a helicopter with guns and scaling the upper deck of the ship. “I think there’s frustration in the Pentagon right now as this administration tries to hold back and be very cautious when it comes to trying to engage with the Iranians,” Mr Lyons told Sky News Australia. “None of this is going to be solved until the Iranians decide they are no longer going to be this funder of terrorism and organiser for a proxy war.”
