Labor ‘unlikely’ to run candidate in Cook by-election: Andrew Clennell

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell reveals Labor is unlikely to run a candidate in the upcoming Cook by-election. “I have been told by Labor sources that Labor are unlikely to run a candidate,” Mr Clennell said. “It’s a seat with a 12 per cent margin and sources are telling me that unlike the contest in Dunkley – we’re expecting this heated close contest this weekend – there will be no Labor candidate in the seat of Cook is what I am being told by sources. “The only issue in terms of the seat being lost by the Liberal Party would be an independent, that seems very unlikely.” The Cook by-election is scheduled for April or May.
