Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says Nikki Haley has lost some “big names” from her campaign funding despite raising about $1 million in the last 24 hours.
Republican candidate Nikki Haley has vowed to stay in the presidential race despite suffering a heavy loss to Donald Trump in her home state of South Carolina.
“The Koch Foundation’s Americans for Prosperity – big name in politics in this country – backed out on Sunday morning,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“She also lost a big Democrat backer – yes, she had a bunch of Democrats writing her big cheques as she tried to be this gadfly to Donald Trump.
“Some of the big money is running away from Nikki Haley.”
